InvestX Capital Ltd. is a young fast-moving company launched in March 2014 backed by a number of institutional investors. InvestX gives broker dealer's retail high net worth clients access to exclusive late stage investments like DocuSign, Spotify, UBER, Pinterest, and Dropbox in retail size allotments for the first time. Growth equity is one of the top performing asset classes but until InvestX had only been available to institutional and ultra-high net worth investors.

Role -- USA National Accounts Executive 

Business Development & Distribution

This is a great opportunity for a high performing, strategic door opener who loves expanding distribution.  Your primary role will be to establish relationships and position InvestX products and services to wealth management & broker-dealer firms in North America. You will be selling the InvestX platform as a partnership that will allow the advisors at the partner firm to be able to access and purchase investments from the InvestX platform.  The target is typically executive committee members in capital markets, new product committee, and equity syndication so previous experience selling to wealth management firms and sell-side firms are definite assets.

Main Responsibilities:

Expand Distribution Channels: Achieve quarterly targets (2- 200+ advisor firms who have approved the distribution of InvestX products) by actively hunting for, qualifying and closing partnerships with wealth management firms to be able to offer InvestX offerings to their advisors and clients.  Manage and maintain relationships between executives and the InvestX account team to help provide guidance on what compliance and legal issues are required to be solved.
Sales Ability: Able to present the InvestX products and overall model to senior executives at wealth management firms. Demonstrate the core strategies associated with our programs and specific attributes of our products and services.  You understand how to work with executive sponsors and to build champions within firms.
Industry Experience: Understanding how syndication-based deals are put together. The policies, regulations, and strategies associated with the wealth management industry. Experience in putting finance deals together through sell and buy-side organisations
Efficient:  Highly motivated, self-starter who can work independently out of home office.  Strong presentation and follow up skills.  You have good command and have actively used salesforce or equivalent
Teamwork:  Work with internal stakeholders to identify and develop ideas and themes for investment products as well as capital sources.  Provide monthly “Learning” reports detailing strategy, cause and effect, and learnings.  Successfully build and foster team-based relationships across our organisation to ensure customer satisfaction and additional sales growth.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales or business development in the financial services industry
  • Private equity, venture capital, sell side or wealth management firm experience
    • Demonstrated team player with the abilit to motivate and maintain strong working relationships
    • A willingness to dig in when it's crunch time
