InvestX gives broker dealer's retail high net worth clients access to exclusive late stage investments like DocuSign, Spotify, UBER, Pinterest, and Dropbox in retail size allotments for the first time. Growth equity is one of the top performing asset classes but until InvestX had only been available to institutional and ultra-high net worth investors.

Role -- Deal Analyst

The Deal Analyst is responsible for performing due dilligence on prospective financial investments, preparing investment materials, monitoring investments, building relationship with principals of the portfolio companies, and helping source shares. You are talented; know how to work with a team, ambitious, and highly self-motivated.

Main Responsibilities:

Deal Making: Source, network and building relationships to find and make deals to purchase shares from primary and secondary sources in target portfolio companies. Generate leads for new investment opportunites, with a particular focus around larger investment opportunities. Build and maintain relations with executives and management teams of target and portfolio companies. Build and maintain relations with Venture Capital firms, executives, acquisition founders and secondary sources.
Research & Analysis: Perform due diligence on target investments, prepare company valuation models, cap table share analysis and assist in various other research and analysis.
Writing and Editing: Prepare research reports for distribution to clients. Excellent writing skills with strong ability to explain investment thesis in an easy to understand way for retail clients.
Teamwork: Work closely with the executive team, sales and marketing, to provide insight on industry, portfolio companies, and pricing trends. Work with internal stakeholders to identify and develop ideas and themes for target portfolio investments.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years working at an investment bank, buy-side or management consulting firm.
  • Analyst experience.
  • Proven track record of sourcing, evaluating and closing deals.
  • Understanding of institutional equity research and sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in an area such as finance, economics or business.
  • Excellent mathematical, Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Knowledge of private equity investment exits and processes related to M&A's, IPO's, etc.
  • Demonstrated team player with ability to motivate and maintain strong working relationships.
  • A willingness to dig in when it's crunch time.

This is a salaried full-time position ($80k-$120k) with equity compensation (0.25-0.50%).
